Jenna Bush Hager joins NBC's 'Today'

Hager will become a "contributing correspondent" on NBC's "Today" show starting Sept. 14. She'll cover the occasional feature and human-interest story for the morning show.

"Jenna is a terrific addition to the 'Today' team," executive producer Jim Bell says. "In previous appearances, she displayed a natural ability to communicate and connect. She has great passion about important subjects, especially education and literacy, and we look forward to having her bring her unique perspective to 'Today.'"

Hager will keep her day job as a teacher in Baltimore. She's also the Young Leadership Ambassador for UNICEF and has written two best-selling books: "Ana's Story," based on her work with UNICEF, and the children's book "Read All About It!" which she co-authored with her mother, Laura.
