Jennifer Lawrence in talks to star in 'The Glass Castle' adaptation

Lionsgate has just acquired the rights to Jeanette Walls' New York Times bestseller "The Glass Castle: A Memoir," and the actress who brought Katniss Everdeen to life on the big screen is in talks to star, reports Deadline.

Walls' 2005 book tells the surprising tale of her profoundly dysfunctional upbringing by two deeply flawed parents whom she seems to still love. It stayed on the New York Times bestseller list for more than 250 weeks, longer than any other memoir.

Gil Netter ( "The Blind Side," "Life Of Pi") is set to produce, and Marti Noxon will write the screenplay.

Do you think Lawrence is a good fit for the role?
