Even though Pauly D, real name Paul DelVecchio, is excited to be a new dad, that doesn't necessarily mean it's smooth sailing from now on. It sounds like the "Jersey Shore" is heading toward a pretty nasty custody battle with the mother of his daughter.

TMZ reports that both Pauly and the mom, Amanda, have filed documents in court regarding custody of the baby. They say Pauly hasn't seen the little girl yet, but wants establish some level of custody. Meanwhile, the mother is allegedly going after child support. Pauly is reportedly ready to take financial responsibility for his daughter, but thinks Amanda is looking for an easy payday. Of course, a photo of the the little one in a high chair surrounded by $100 bills doesn't exactly disprove his point. Pauly is also said to not believe the woman is a fit mother, pointing to the fact that she's 25 with two kids and used to work at Hooters.

The daughter, named Amabella according to InTouch, is believed to be the result of a drunken Las Vegas hookup, after Pauly met the woman at one of his DJ gigs. Amabella is five months old.
