She'll be playing Barbara Latham, a wealthy donor to the university. Leonard may just have to compromise his virtue in order to secure her grant to the science department. ABC and Salma Hayek are teaming up for an eight-hour "Wicked" miniseries. The miniseries will be based on the 1995 book, "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" by Gregory Maguire. It is the retelling of the "Wizard of Oz" from the Wicked Witch's point of view. Maguire's book recast the witch as a hero fighting for her homeland. The book was later interpreted into a hit Broadway musical ("Wicked") but the miniseries will be based on the book. Hayek is only attached as an executive producer and it's unclear if she will act in the project. "Band of Brothers'" Erik Jendresen is writing the script. [Variety]

"Heroes'" Adrian Pasdar is heading to "Castle" as FBI agent, Eric Fallon, who is brought in when a terrorist threatens to send New York City a message. He is tasked with trying to track down and neutralize the threat. Pasdar will be around for multiple episodes and will appear in a two-parter airing Feb. 21 and 28. [TV Line]

Harry Connick Jr. has opened up about all those rumors he was set to become a judge on "American Idol." "I had a blast on the show," says Connick. "They asked me if I was interested. We had some preliminary conversations and it just kind of fizzled out."  Connick has no regrets about not joining the show. "Fortunately, I had some other things going on. So it was fine."
