Fans of his reality show on the Sundance Channel, " Be Good Johnny Weir," know that the road to Vancouver was a tough one for the athlete.

Leading up to the Olympics, Weir made headlines after fur activists objected to his use of fur on his skating costume and made threats on the athlete. Even after Weir agreed to remove it, the threats apparently continued and Weir decided to stay within the relative security of the Olympic village.
