Jon Stewart says Keith Olbermann 'wallows in the fetid swamp of name-calling'

jon-stewart-daily-show.JPGOn Thursday's (Jan. 21) "Daily Show," Jon Stewart blasts Keith Olbermann because Olbermann has essentially gone from being a pundit to a name-caller.

Stewart is responding to Olbermann's assertion that newly-elected U.S. Senator Scott Brown is an "irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees."

Stewart's immediate response? "Two things: A) A Massachusetts Republican is still considered like a gay Democrat in other parts of the country and B) I think that's the harshest description of anyone I've ever heard uttered on MSNBC and that includes descriptions of the guys that star in your weekend prison program."

We really can't do Stewart justice, so just watch the video. We do think this is yet another example of why Stewart is the smartest, most non-BS political commentator out there and why "The Daily Show" is better than every network late night show put together.
