Although "General Hospital" is one of the few soaps still fighting on the air, it's about to lose one of its major characters: Jonathan Jackson, who's played Lucky Spencer for almost a decade, is leaving the show.
According to TV Guide, Jackson tried to cut down his schedule to no avail, and is now leaving the soap by the end of the year. He tapes his last scenes Nov. 17, and will make his last "GH" appearance at some point in December.
ABC would not confirm or deny Jackson's departure.
Jackson first played Lucky, son of the famed Luke and Laura, from 1993 to 1999, and won three Daytime Emmy Awards. He took over the role again in 2009, and won another Emmy for his performance in 2011.
