"Big Brother" host and CBS "Early Show" co-anchor Julie Chen and her husband, CBS president and CEO Les Moonves, welcomed Charlie to the world Thursday morning (Sept. 24).

The baby was born at 9:40 a.m. PT in Los Angeles, CBS says in a two-line press release. Both Charlie and his mom "are doing well," the network says.

Chen and Moonves married in late 2004; Charlie is their first child together. Moonves also has three children from a previous marriage.

Chen has co-hosted "The Early Show" since 2002 and was the show's news anchor for three years prior to that (when it was also called the "CBS Morning News"). She's hosted "Big Brother" since its debut on CBS in 2000.
