'Justified,' 'Archer' return to FX in January
"Justified" will kick off its third season at 10 p.m. ET Tuesday, Jan. 17, the cable channel says. The season premiere of "Archer" and a new animated comedy, "Unsupervised," will follow two days later on Thursday, Jan. 19.
Season 3 of "Justified" (which FX started promoting last week) will find U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens ( Timothy Olyphant) running up against corrupt politics in Harlan, as well as an "enterprising and lethal" criminal from Detroit and a mysterious man named "Limehouse."
Oh, and there's also the fact that Boyd ( Walton Goggins) has decided to retun to the criminal life -- although he'll have competition for the title of top dog in Harlan's lawless class.
"Archer" will begin its third season at 10 p.m. Jan. 19 and try to build on the ratings momentum its three-episode "Heart of Archness" run generated in September. The addendum to Season 2 improved on the show's adults 18-49 ratings by 26 percent and its total audience by 12 percent.
"Archer" will also serve as the lead-in for "Unsupervised," which comes from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" writer-producers David Hornsby, Scott Marder and Rob Rosell. The show is about two teenagers trying to figure life out without the benefit of any parental guidance. The voice cast includes Rosell, Hornsby, Kristen Bell, Fred Armisen, Justin Long, "Sunny" star Kaitlin Olson, Romany Malco and Alexa Vega.
