Justin Bieber goes acoustic with 'Boyfriend' on New Year's Eve

Bieber performed at the show's Hollywood stage, singing three songs from his album "Believe." "Beauty and a Beat" and "As Long As You Love Me" were full production numbers, but for "Boyfriend," he was accompanied only by an acoustic guitar.

The acoustic rendition of "Boyfriend" was reminiscent of Biebers' American Music Awards performance of "As Long As You Love Me," where he also sat next to a guy strumming a guitar. Billboard notes that Bieber is planning to release an acoustic album this year, so the New Year's Eve performance may have been a preview.
