JWoww, Snooki reality show banned by Berkeley Township?
Snooki and JWoww might not be able to film the third and final season of "Snooki & JWoww" as they planned. Shooting was scheduled to commence in New Jersey's Pelican Island starting in mid-July, but the residents of the community are rebelling against it.
The New Jersey Ledger reports that members of the Pelican Island Property Owners Association is looking to meet with the Berkeley Township to discuss potentially banning production of "Snooki & JWoww." The reasoning is that shooting the show will prevent families seeking to recover from Hurricane Sandy from being able to do so, but some residents also just seem annoyed that Snooki and JWoww will be in their neighborhood.
One woman says she doesn't want the anonymity of life of Pelican Island to go away. "I'm not going to have that anymore. Everyone now is going to know, 'oh, Snooki's house.' I don't want it to be Snooki's house. I don't mind that they ask, 'oh, where's that?'" she tells the Ledger. "It's our hidden, little gem. Now it's no longer that."
MTV hasn't commented on the production problems, but Snooki made her unhappy feelings about the situation known.
"Insult my son & fiancé, and I will go mama bear on you're a**. #family #myeverything," Snooki tweets. "If my 'actions' like playing with my son is bringing the wrong 'crowd' , obviously we are on too [sic] different pages here. I stick up for my fam."
