Kate Middleton's birthday a private affair this year

She reports that the Royal couple is expected to spend this birthday in private, possibly at their remote cottage in Wales.

On the horizon for the parents-to-be include moving into a 20-room apartment in Kensington Palace, which will involve a major redecoration project for Kate -- including, of course, a nursery for the new baby.

In addition to the apartment in London, the Duke and Duchess are also expected to be gifted Anmer Hall in Norfolk from the Queen. This 10-bedroom country estate is just two miles from the Queen's Sandringham House, which is where the Royals celebrate Christmas. Anmer Hall has been part of the Sandringham estate since 1898. The entire estate is about 100 miles northeast of London.

Later this year, Kate will also have her official Royal portrait unveiled. Happy birthday, Kate Middleton!
