Kate Moss will grace the cover of Playboy magazine's 60th anniversary issue, it was confirmed Tuesday (Sept. 18). What's more, Moss will go full-frontal nude for the issue that is timed to her 40th birthday.

Along with posing in her full monty birthday suit, Moss will don the iconic Playboy bunny ears, sick stocking and French cuffs.

In an interview with the LA Times, Playboy's editorial director, Jimmy Jellinek, calls Moss "the biggest supermodel in the world," which is quite the superlative given the decade in which he makes said statement. Because after all, this is 2013, not 1993. Though Moss is certainly a step up from from recent celebrity pictorial subjects, such as Lindsay Lohan, who was criticized for not getting in shape before posing.

"You need a global icon" for such a massive celebration, Jellinek says. "That was the impetus. You're talking about the face of Burberry. ... [Moss] is the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years."

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner adds, "She's a worldwide celebrity and iconic and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modeling. ... It's a natural for us."
