Katy Perry, Russell Brand reach divorce agreement

katy-perry-russell-brand-2.jpgIt ain't over until it's really over, but Katy Perry and Russell Brand have moved one step closer to being divorced and Brand won't be claiming the up to $20 million he could have sought from his soon-to-be-ex.

According to papers filed by Brand in Los Angeles on Tuesday (Feb. 7) and obtained by RadarOnline, the couple -- who married in 2010 -- have reached a "comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party."

Brand, a comedian/actor in his own right, will not be taking any of Perry's estimated $44 million earnings despite the fact that the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in place.

For her part, the only thing Perry is requesting is to restore her maiden name: Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson. Oh, and she reportedly signed the papers with a smiley face after her name.
