Kevin Hart defends Justin Bieber and explains his mug shot smile

Justin Bieber has a lot of critics these days, but Kevin Hart is not one of them. The "Ride Along" actor and Bieber friend just hopes the young singer will learn from his recent brush with the law.

Hart was asked about Bieber's arrest during an interview for his "Real Husbands of Hollywood" show. Although the reporter from ET Online seems to expect harsher words, Hart expresses nothing but understanding for Bieber.

"I'm very close to Justin. I've got a lot of love for him," the actor and comedian explains. "You know, I think right now it's just a lot of pressure on him. That media attention sometimes isn't good when you're going through things, and at the end of the day, Justin's young -- he's a teenager ... These things are being magnified and the public is judging him from it."

Not only is Hart a friend to Bieber, but he's also a guy who has been in the same legal boat. "From a guy who's gotten a DUI, learn from it. Everything happens for a reason," Hart says. "Getting a DUI definitely changed me and has made me more responsible."

When confronted with Bieber's smiling mug shot, Hart laughs it off, saying "They probably said something nice to him."

Arrested for street racing, a DUI and more crimes early on Thursday (Jan. 23) morning, Bieber is facing serious charges for his actions in Miami Beach, Fla.
