Leah Remini's departure from the Church of Scientology has led to much speculation about why she would choose to sever ties with the religion she supported for so long. Which she only issued a vague public statement about the story, one report that swirling is that Scientologist Kirstie Alley is lashing out at Remini for her decision.

It all started when Alley tweeted, "When faced w malicious gossip I take a moment to experience the loss of the person I thought was my friend... Then I say f*** em..:) #RISE." She later wrote, "the sweetest poison is often served with a smile... beware syrup."

Many reported that these tweets were about Remini and quoted sources confirming that Alley was targeting the former Scientologist. Alley tells a different story though.

"lying news outlets. I do NOT care what religion ANYONE is or isn't. I respect religions & would fight for your freedom as well as mine," Alley tweets. "thank U lying 'news' outlets for thinking I have ESP & write tweets 'BEFORE' events OCCUR.I accept that compliment. Ur 'sources' don't exist."

She continues, "I'll just be here learning my lines 4 the movie I haven't been offered yet. And buying lottery tickets for The Cal lottery I won in Jan 2014."
