KISS frontman Paul Stanley recovering from vocal cord surgery
Stanley has been performing with KISS for nearly 40 years, saying that this type of surgery is what happens after singing for such a long time.
"I hold myself to a higher standard than others do. With that in mind, I wanted to remedy a few minor issues that come with 40 years of preaching rock 'n' roll," says Stanley.
KISS is keeping busy working on their 20th studio album, which is titled "Monster" and is due out in the spring of 2012. KISS member Gene Simmons said in a radio interview about the new album, "The new record, which we already started working on, is gonna be the next step to 'Sonic Boom'. Very similar -- straight rock songs, no ballads, no keyboards, no nothing, just rock."
