Kristen Stewart signs on for 'Snow White and the Huntsman' sequel

snow-white-stewart-universal.jpegKristen Stewart has officially signed on to star in a "Snow White and the Huntsman" sequel, but Robsten fans don't need to freak out, because Rupert Sanders will not be directing this one. Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson announced the studio's official plans for the second film on April 16 at Cinemacon.

Stewart's highly-publicized affair with Sanders stirred up rumors that Stewart would not be returning to the franchise. Because of the cheating scandal, many assumed that the second film would be a prequel, instead focusing on Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman character in the years before he met Snow.

Fortunately, that's not the case. Hemsworth has not yet been confirmed to star in the sequel -- and neither has Charlize Theron, though that's to be expected, as her character died in the first film.

In December, Stewart said the sequel would be "f***ing amazing." "I'm so excited about it, it's crazy," she told Indiewire. "The other day I said that there was a strong possibility that we're going to make a sequel, and that's very true, but everyone was like, 'Whoa, stop talking about it.' So, no, I'm totally not allowed to talk about it."
