Kristin Kreuk gets un-'Hitched'

kristin-kreuk-getty-320.jpgCBS and Josh Schwartz have done a late bit of recasting on their comedy pilot "Hitched," replacing Kristin Kreuk as the female lead.

Kreuk, who did a guest arc on Schwartz's NBC show "Chuck" earlier this season, will be replaced by Sara Fletcher (Comedy Central's "Secret Girlfriend"), Deadline.com reports. The show is about two newlyweds (Fletcher and Jack Carpenter) who get married before they really know each other and their respective families.

"Hitched" would have been the first sitcom role for Kreuk, who's best known for playing Lana Lang on "Smallville." She showed some comedic chops during her turn on "Chuck," but according to Deadline, "Hitched" "ultimately proved not a good fit for her."

The show, which also stars Sharon Lawrence, Kurtwood Smith and Eugene Levy, made the switch just as the cast was about to do its table read on Wednesday (April 14). The pilot, which Schwartz co-wrote with "Chuck" writer-producer Matt Miller, is one of eight comedies CBS will consider for its 2010-11 lineup.
