Fulbright pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit kidnapping and aggravated assault.

In 2007, Fulbright, ex-boyfriend Robert Ergonis and another man, David Radde, lured Fulbright's then-boyfriend Joshua Conway to her apartment, where they beat him, cut him with a knife and held him at gunpoint for several hours. Fulbright had lied to Ergonis that Conway had stolen and sold jewelry given to her by Ergonis.

Fulbright competed in the 2006 Miss Arizona pageant and got her Juris Doctorate in 2009 from the University of Arizona. She was a writer for the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law and an executive board member of the Student Bar Association.
