Lady Gaga weight gain: Singer dieting after packing on 25 pounds

On "The Talk" Thursday (Sept. 20), Sharon Osbourne even surmised that the "Born This Way" singer must be pregnant. But those aren't pregnancy pounds, according to Gaga herself -- unless she's going to be giving birth to a pasta baby.

"I'm dieting right now, because I gained, like, 25 pounds," Gaga tells radio host Elvis Duran ( via ABC News). "I really don't feel bad about it, not even for a second. I have to be on such a strict diet constantly. It's hard because it's a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don't like that. So I'm trying to find a new balance."

She continues, "My father [Joe Germanotta] opened a restaurant [Joanne Trattoria in New York]. It's so amazing ... it's so freaking delicious, but I'm telling you I gain five pounds every time I go in there. So my dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I'm, like, I've got to go where I can drink green juice."

Earlier this year, Gaga admitted to having had an eating disorder when she was younger, and surprised and angered some fans a couple of months later when she tweeted, "Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad dreaming of a cheeseburger  #PopSingersDontEat."
