LeAnn Rimes: Life after rehab feels like 'starting over'
On Aug. 30, LeAnn Rimes made the decision to check herself into an in-patient treatment center for a month to help cope with "anxiety and stress." Now that she is out, the singer has sat down with Katie Couric to discuss how she feels refreshed following her treatment.
"I feel like I am starting over even though I've had all these years behind me," the country music star says in an interview, which will air Thursday on "Katie." "How many people get to [start] over in this day and age?"
According to a different interview Rimes did with The Boston Herald, part of what pushed her over the edge was the way people have critiqued her every move. That's something we also heard about back in August.
"It's hard to take it day after day of reading and seeing things that someone you don't even know says about you," she tells the Herald. "As much as you said you don't want it to penetrate, it does, because you're human."
