Liam Neeson strips down for breast cancer research
We've never been more taken with Liam Neeson than when we learned he would be willing to strip down to hot pink underwear for the sake of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The "Taken 2" star visited "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Monday (Oct. 1) where he walked out on stage in a light pink bathrobe. There was introduced to a cancer survivor named Laura who was chosen to have the opportunity to soak Neeson in a dunk tank and, by doing so, have Shutterfly donate $10,000 to DeGeneres's charity Ellen for the Cure. After showing off his very pink undies, Neeson asked if he could get that number doubled if he wore just them in the box. Unsurprisingly, DeGeneres consented.
Fortunately, DeGeneres and Laura managed to hit the target and send water cascading all over Neeson in the tank. Though he was clearly soaked and likely freezing, the 60-year-old was a good sport through the end. Because of him, Shutterfly has now donated the agreed upon $20,000 to breast cancer research.
"Liam Neeson raised $20,042 wearing this outfit," DeGeneres later tweeted along with an image of the nearly-naked actor. "$20,000 from Shutterfly, and $43 in singles stuck in his speedo."
"Taken 2" is due in theaters on Oct. 5, though we can't guarantee Neeson will strip down in it as well.
