Lindsay Lohan docu-series 'Lindsay' gets a premiere date on OWN

lindsay-lohan-oprah-gi.jpgThe long-promised docu-series starring Lindsay Lohan has a premiere date on OWN.

"Lindsay," which looks to be a warts-and-all look at Lohan's life, career and interactions with her family, will premiere March 9. The show is part of a deal Lohan and OWN struck that included an Oprah Winfrey interview special that aired last summer.

"Lindsay" is directed by Amy Rice, a writer on "The Newsroom" and co-director of the 2009 HBO documentary "By the People: The Election of Barack Obama." She also appears on camera at one point during the show to complain about Lohan's lack of cooperation in the project.

Based on a teaser OWN showed Thursday (Jan. 9) at the TCA winter press tour, that's a running theme. Lohan speaks candidly to the camera at times, but there are also scenes with OWN president Sheri Salata complaining to Winfrey about Lohan shutting out the crew.

So, yeah, this could be a must-watch.
