For the first time ever, "Little House on the Prairie" is coming to Blu-ray, and it's been fully restored and remastered, featuring high definition picture and sound.

The series, starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert, first went on the air in 1974, based on the books of the same name by author Laura Ingalls Wilder. The deluxe remastered edition of "Little House on the Prairie" Season 1 will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on March 25. The set will also include new special features, including screen tests for Landon and Gilbert, as well as the first piece of a six-part documentary that looks back on the series.

Below, take a look before and after photos of the full HD restoration. In addition to more vibrant colors, the image is sharper with imperfections removed.
