"Masters of Sex" star Lizzy Caplan is transitioning back to comedy for a new film. According to Deadline, she'll be starring in Seth Rogen's next directorial effort with Evan Goldberg.

The feature follow-up to "This Is The End," called "The Interview," already stars Rogen and James Franco. This new report says that Caplan will play a character named Agent Lacey.

When "The Interview" was first announced, The Hollywood Reporter said it will be a "topical comedy" that follows "a handsome talk show host and his producer who find themselves in way over their heads when they get involved in a plot to assassinate the prime minister of North Korea." Rogen will star as the producer, while Franco will play the talk show host.

Despite the fact "Masters of Sex" is a drama, Caplan has quite a history with comedies -- and with Rogen and Franco's circle of friends. She starred in "Party Down," "Hot Tub Time Machine" and of course "Freaks and Geeks," so it's nice to see her reteam with Rogen and Franco once again.
