'Lost': Michael Emerson promises an 'epilogue' on the DVD

"Lost" fans can get a little bit more of the recently departed show -- provided they're willing to spring for the complete series DVD set.

This bit of news comes from Michael Emerson and "Attack of the Show!," who tells host Kevin Pereira that the DVD set will contain what he calls an "epilogue" to the series that will focus on the time his character, Ben, and Hurley ( Jorge Garcia) spent as the Island's protectors after Jack ( Matthew Fox) passed the torch to them.

"It's a lot. It's 12 or 14 minutes that opens a window onto that gap of unknown time between Hurley becoming number one and the end of the series," Emerson says. Pereira wonders if it might lead to a spinoff series (we like his title, "Hurley and Me"), but Emerson, alas, puts the kibosh on that: "It's self-contained, although it's a rich period in the show's mythology that's never been explored."

Emerson also asserts that he knows what happened in the finale, although he wouldn't give a definitive answer for Pereira. "I do know what happened," he says, "and it doesn't need to be the same thing that you know happened."

What do you think of the epilogue idea? Will that get you to buy the full series on DVD?
