Made in America festival lineup: Jay-Z adds Pearl Jam and D'Angelo to the bill

jay-z-gi.jpg Jay-Z won't only be headlining September's Made In America music festival -- he's also curating the entire lineup, which includes performances from Pearl Jam, Odd Future, Skillrex and the return of R&B singer D'Angelo.

Here's the full lineup, per MTV: Jay-Z, Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Odd Future, Maybach Music Group featuring Rick Ross, Wale and Meek Mill, Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Passion Pit, Santigold, D'Angelo, Miike Snow, Dirty Projectors, X, Janelle Monae, Prince Royce, Rita Ora, the Knocks and a DJ set by Savoy.

Why so eclectic?

"Whenever I enter into a project, I try to hit on some touch points. The first thing is: Is it great?" Jay asked during the May 14 press conference announcing his involvement. "The second one is: Is it gonna push the culture forward?"

We'll find out come Sept. 1st and 2nd when the festival takes place at Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
