"Jersey Shore" set another ratings record with this week's episode. The show scored 5.5 million viewers on Thursday (Aug. 12), and its 2.7 rating in adults 18-49 beat pretty much everything on broadcast TV for the night. [ MTV]

Following her "America's Got Talent" appearance, pint-sized opera singer Jackie Evancho's self-released 2009 album "Prelude to a Dream" has cracked the top 10 on both Amazon and iTunes. [ The Wrap]

First "Castle's" daughter gets a boyfriend, and now his partner does too: The ABC show has signed Victor Webster ("Charmed," "Melrose Place") to a recurring part as Beckett's ( Stana Katic) love interest. [ EW]

Michael B. Jordan of "Friday Night Lights" will make his way from Dillon to Berkeley this fall for a guest arc on "Parenthood" (which comes from the same folks behind "FNL"). He'll play Haddie's ( Sarah Ramos) new boyfriend. [ TV Guide]

Andrea Savage ("Dinner for Schmucks") will co-star with Elijah Wood and Jason Gann in FX's comedy pilot "Wilfred," about a boy (Wood) and his played-by-a-human dog (Gann). [ Variety]
