After repeatedly brushing off the rumors and dodging the questions, Nick Cannon confirms to "Rollin With Nick Cannon" radio listeners on Thursday (Dec. 16) that he and Mariah Carey are, in fact, expecting twins.

This wasn't news to one person who was already in on the secret. The first to get the news? President Obama.

While performing on "Christmas in Washington 2010" on Sunday (Dec. 12), Carey ran into the President and First Lady Michelle Obama backstage.

"They, ironically enough, questioned my wife about, you know, 'So, what are you having, are you having twins?" Cannon explains on his show.

"And at this point she hadn't told anybody anything because doctors advised us to keep it to ourselves until we get further along," he continues. "And because of the excitement, because of the emotion, she was overwhelmed [and] she shared with the President and First Lady that we are having twins."

Suffering a miscarriage in 2008, the couple has been careful to keep details of their pregnancy under wraps. A due date has not been confirmed, but according to Nick, a Wednesday ultrasound went "A-OK!"

Though it was Mariah who spilled the beans to the Head of State, Nick may still be in the doghouse for making the news public.

"I didn't even tell my wife I was gonna do this," he admits. "I'm probably going to get yelled at for not getting permission."
