Mariah Carey suffered a dislocated shoulder on the set of her new music video for "#Beautiful" and had to be briefly hospitalized on Sunday (July 7). The singer has already returned home to rest.

The NY Post reports that Carey was rushed to New York's Hospital for Special Surgery in order to have her shoulder reset. A spokesperson for Carey issued the following statement: "Mariah was injured while filming a video for the remix of #Beautiful, directed by her husband Nick Cannon. She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder. She is fine and is recovering at home."

Apparently, Carey suffered the injury after she fell on the set of the "#Beautiful" video in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. The video is meant to highlight a new remix of the song (originally recorded with Miguel) that will feature rapper Young Jeezy.

Despite the injury, Mariah Carey is still expected to perform at a free concert scheduled for Saturday (July 13) in Central Park. The event, co-sponsored by Major League Baseball, is meant to benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief. A source close to the singer insisted that the show would go on, even if Carey had to perform while wearing a sling.
