Marina Shifrin's job-quitting video gets her a 'Queen Latifah Show' job offer from Queen Latifah herself
Marina Shifrin was the talk of the internet this week when she quit her job at Taiwanese company Next Media Animation via an interpretive dance to Kanye West's "Gone" (video above) The reason for quitting?
Shifrin tells HuffPo that her work environment was too tough -- no lunch break and a boss who was constantly changing up her schedule and responsibilities.
"I understood that it was a risk, but I never named the company or my boss and I mean, have you seen my dancing? How can anyone take that seriously," says Shifrin.
Well, somebody rather famous took notice and on "The Queen Latifah Show" Wednesday (Oct. 2), Queen Latifah offered Shifrin a job (video below).
"I like to be surrounded by cool, creative, interesting people, and with your experience, maybe I could create a position," says Queen Latifah.
"What if I created something called 'digital content producer.' Do you think that would be something you'd be interested in? ... I'm a boss. And bosses can hire. QueenLatifah.com is a really cool website and we could use someone like you," much to Shifrin's surprise, who was just planning on moving back to the U.S. and living in her parents' basement.
Meanwhile, Shifrin's boss has made his own response to her viral video (below). The company wishes Marina well, but ... they're hiring. Heh.
