Mark Wahlberg wants his kids to avoid tattoos, show business

mark-wahlberg-324.jpgWhile getting tattoos is all the rage these days, there's at least one celeb who doesn't want his kids to get ink done. And he's showing them all the pain they can cause.

During an interview on "Today" on Monday (Feb. 20), actor Mark Wahlberg says he takes his children with him while he endures laser treatment to remove his tats.

"I don't want my kids getting tattoos," he says. "I've taken my two older kids to the procedure so they see how painful it is and what I have to go through."

Wahlberg is turning into quite the role model these days. In Jan. 2012, he tells People that he's also looking to get his GED because "I want [my children] to get a great education and do those things I never did."

In another bit of fatherly advice, Wahlberg says he's hoping his kids will avoid show business.

"I don't want my kids to be in the entertainment business either, which is why I'm trying to build a lot of businesses," Wahlberg says. "If they feel [passionate about acting], and that's the decision they want to make, then I'll support them. But I'll do everything I can to point them in another direction."
