Martin Henderson of England: Peter Dinklage shouts out victim of attack

martin-henderson.jpgAfter winning a Golden Globe for his work on "Game of Thrones," Peter Dinklage gave a quick shout-out to Martin Henderson, a little person in England who was the victim of a sudden attack when a pub-goer picked him up and tossed him while he was enjoying an evening out in October.

Henderson, an actor, is now forced to use a wheelchair and crutches and can't get acting work as he's developed a tendency to fall over. "Every time I stand up I don't know if I'm going to fall over. I will have to use a wheelchair and I won't get any acting jobs," he tells the Sun.

Henderson has Achondroplasia dwarfism and spinal stenosis, and the injuries he sustained in the attack set off chronic problems that had been corrected by surgery in 2010.

The incident occurred three weeks after England's rugby team was criticized for attending the Mad Midget Weekender, a "dwarf tossing" event. "The England players had been in trouble for going to a dwarf tossing event and this might have given this guy the idea," Henderson says. "People's attitudes to me when I go out can be pretty cruel. Most are OK but you get the odd idiot who will make fun and start laughing at me."
