'MasterChef Junior' announces the 24 young chefs who will prepare dishes for the judges

masterchef-junior-season-1.jpg"MasterChef Junior" kicks off this fall with 24 of the best junior home cooks in the country competing in the first round where they will prepare their best home dish for the judges.

The kids, ranging in ages eight to 13, are split into three groups of eight and will create their best seafood, pasta or dessert dishes. The Top 12 junior chefs will receive a white MasterChef Junior apron and advance to the challenge rounds.
