Matt Damon bashes President Obama: 'He broke up with me'

"Elysium" might be a big budget blockbuster film, but it also is one that opens up conversations about politics, class and race. While doing press for the movie, Matt Damon fielded questions of similar subject matters.

Damon has made no secret of the fact that he disagrees with President Barack Obama, and BET asked him if that stance has changed in Obama's second term.

"He broke up with me," Damon responds. "There are a lot of things that I really question, you know: the legality of the drone strikes, and these NSA revelations they're, you know, it's like, they're, you know, Jimmy Carter came out and said, 'We don't live in a democracy.' That's a little intense when an ex-president says that. So, you know, he's got some, some explaining to do, particularly for a constitutional law professor."

Damon also shares his thoughts about the Trayvon Martin case that drew a lot of press recently as the jury determined George Zimmerman was not guilty. He says, "We have a police force for that. We should leave the novices at home."
