Michael Jordan lakefront home is $2.8 million golf course foreclosure

michael-jordan-ryder-cup-gi.jpgNBA legend Michael Jordan has plunked down $2.8 million for a lakefront mansion in North Carolina. The 12,310-square-foot estate is located on Lake Norman in Cornelius, about 22 miles from the Time Warner Cable Arena where the Charlotte Bobcats play.

Jordan has been part owner of the Bobcats since 2006, taking majority ownership in 2010. He also maintains a condo near the arena, according to a report by the Associated Press.

Mike's new pad has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It was a foreclosure, which he purchased through a trust on Feb. 19. The sprawling estate is located on The Peninsula Golf Club's seventh hole. Tee time, anyone?

In 2012 Jordan splashed out $12.8 million for a 28,000-square-foot mega-mansion in Jupiter, Fla. How many houses does one guy need?
