According to Boston.com, Producer Jeffrey Richards said that McKean's role will be played by James Lecesne from now on. "I understand from his team that he has never missed a performance in his career," Richards said in a press release. "So this is the kind of first we are reluctant to announce."

The play by Gore Vidal had been nominated for a Tony Award for best revival and the cast includes James Earl Jones, John Larroquette, Candice Bergen, Angela Lansbury, and Eric McCormack. Lecesne had previously been playing a small role in the show and this is his Broadway debut. Get well soon, Michael.
