Mick Jagger to take the Grammy stage for the first time

mick-jagger-gi.jpgBelieve it or not, 2011 will mark the very first Grammy performance by the legendary Mick Jagger. Ever.

Better late than never, we guess.

The Rolling Stones' frontman has previously appeared on the telecast only once, and he wasn't even actually there. Jagger and the rest of his band accepted their 1986 Lifetime Achievement Award from Eric Clapton via satellite from London.

This year, Jagger will take the stage alongside Grammy award winner Raphael Saadiq during the annual 'In Memoriam' segment. The tribute will undoubtedly pay respects to the likes of Teena Marie, Jimmy Dean, Lena Horne and Solomon Burke.

Jagger joins an already impressive lineup of performers, including Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Muse, Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert.
