Enough of Miley Cyrus playing girls with alter egos! The popstress has landed the lead in Exclusive Media Group's action comedy "So Undercover." The protagonist is "a tough, street-smart private eye" (but they hired Cyrus anyway), who's hired by the FBI to go undercover at a sorority. Mom Tish Cyrus is one of the producers. [ The Wrap]

Uh oh, Spidey-O! The Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" may not be swinging onto stage as early as planned. New York safety inspectors came by to see the two dozen flying and aerial maneuvers, but the production didn't have them all ready. All 24 stunts must be approved before the show is allowed to open on Sunday, Nov. 14. We blame Doc Ock for the delay. [ New York Times]

Illegal trade in Indian owls is blamed on black magic rituals and the "Harry Potter" craze. Apparently, Potterheads wanting to have their very own Hedwig have fueled the sale of 15 of the country's 30 owl species, which is threatening their Indian population. [ Reuters]
