The newly-crowned Miss Teen USA, Cassidy Wolf, is at the center of an FBI investigation. Laura Eimiller, a spokeswoman for the bureau's Los Angeles office, confirms that they are looking into the possibility that Wolf is was the victim of a "sextortion" plot that involved someone hacking her computer to gain control of its webcam, the LA Times reports.

Wolf says that she received an anonymous email from someone who claimed to have naked photos of her, taken by the webcam. Whoever sent the email tried to extort the beauty pageant queen under the threat of releasing the pictures. The FBI says they have identified a suspect and believe that more than a dozen other women were also targeted. No charges have been filed.

Hacking computers to get access to naked pictures is something that is becoming more common with the evolution in technology. In December, Christopher Chaney was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to hacking into celebrity computers and obtaining nude photos and personal information for people like Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and Christina Aguilera.
