'Supernatural' or the Presidential Debates: 'Mitt Romney' urges you over to The CW

mitt-romney-jimmy-fallon-supernatural.jpgOn Wednesday, Oct. 3, the first of three presidential debates between Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama will air at 9 p.m. EST on C-SPAN, CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC -- as well as all four major broadcast networks -- FOX, ABC, CBS, and NBC.

That just leaves The CW, which has decided to air the "Supernatural" Season 8 premiere as planned. Perhaps they figure that the "Supernatural" fans still hanging on after 8 years are more invested in the Sam vs. Dean of it all than the Romney vs. Obama of it all?

Late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon impersonated Romney on "Late Night", mentioning the fact that a leaked memo from the Romney campaign urged people to lower their expectations of Romney's performance, since Obama is such a "master debater." (Hardy-har.)

"Forget lowering your expectations for my performance," Fallon says as Romney. "Here's a better idea: Don't watch the debates at all. Just watch something else instead. I mean, come on, there's like a million other shows on during the debates... Let's see here. 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Debates, debates, debates, debates -- there's a new episode of 'Supernatural' 9 p.m. on The CW network. That sounds funky. TBS has a rerun of a show called 'Family Guy,' that sounds wholesome enough. What else? Debates, debates."

So what's the plan, "SPN" fans? Are you watching the debates and DVR-ing the highly anticipated Winchester reunion? Or do Sam and Dean take priority tonight? Let us know!
