British singer Morrissey, the former frontman for The Smiths, has been hospitalized in Royal Oak, Michigan. He canceled a tour date Thursday (Jan. 24) in Flint and postponed two more while he recovers.

A rep for the singer told Billboard that Morrissey had checked in to the William Beaumont hospital "where he is undergoing tests for a suspected bladder reflection." This information followed a release from the tour in which the concert dates were canceled and postponed due to an unspecified illness in the band.

Currently, in addition to the Flint cancellation, concerts scheduled for Friday and Saturday (Jan. 25 and 26) have been postponed. Ticket-holders have been asked to wait for an announcement about new concerts. There has been no word on whether or not any future concerts would also have to be postponed. The next scheduled performance is a sold-out show on Monday (Jan. 28) in Asheville, North Carolina, according to the tour's website.

The canceled Flint concert had already been postponed once before, from October when Morrissey rescheduled a tour to spend time with his ailing mother.
