'Nashville' Season 2 casts 'Smash' star Will Chase: Who will he play?

"Nashville" is bring a little Broadway in Season 2. 

The ABC southern soap just cast "Smash" singer Will Chase for a major recurring arc, Broadway.com reports.

Chase will play Luke, a successful, outgoing, and charismatic country music star who may become romantically involved with Rayna (Connie Britton). She sure is getting a lot of lovin' this season, isn't she? Deacon who?

The Broadway vet -- who withdrew from starring in the new musical, "Little Miss Sunshine" -- recently played a recurring role on NBC's "Smash" as Michael Swift, a.k.a. the man Julia (Debra Messing) had an affair with.

Other new faces heading to "Nashville" this season are: Charlie Bewley as Juliette's love interest, Oliver Hudson as another love interest for Rayna, and Chaley Rose as Scarlett's childhood friend.
