The five NBA games that aired on ABC and ESPN on Christmas Day were collectively the highest-rated slate of Christmas games since the two networks won TV rights to the league in 2002-03. ABC's coverage of the Heat-Lakers game drew a 6.4 household rating, a 45-percent improvement over last year's Cavaliers-Lakers contest. [ ABC]

Remember Janet Jackson's FCC-angering flash at the 2004 Super Bowl? Well, CBS and the agency are still battling it out in court. The case is currently before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, which has received supplemental briefs from both sides in the past week. [ Broadcasting & Cable]

CBS has announced the list of celebrity attendees for the People's Choice Awards on Jan. 5. Among those on the guest list: Julie Bowen, Michael Chiklis, Taye Diggs, Lisa Edelstein, Ashton Kutcher, Jim Parsons, Conan O'Brien, Katy Perry, Natalie Portman, Leighton Meester, Emma Roberts, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Swift. Maybe he was busy doing his Christmas shopping, but Conan O'Brien apparently didn't see Jimmy Kimmel's mashup of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Sarah Palin's Alaska." O'Brien aired a similar bit on his show a couple weeks later, then gave Kimmel an on-air apology after hearing about the similarities. [ EW]
