NBC unveils summer schedule premiere dates
"Save Me," originally ordered for mid-season, will debut on Thursday, May 23 at 8 p.m., airing two back-to-back episodes. The comedy finds Heche playing a Midwestern mom and wife who undergoes a spiritual awakening after suffering a near-death experience.
"American Ninja Warrior" returns to the NBC lineup with a two-hour special on Monday, July 1 at 8 p.m. before settling into its regularly scheduled one-hour timeslot the following week, July 8.
July 8 will also see the debut of "Get Out Alive With Bear Grylls" at 9 p.m. The series is described as a larger-than-life adventure reality competition series wherein Grylls leads a non-stop extreme-survival journey that tests 10 teams of two beyond their wildest imaginations as they venture into the unforgiving and dramatic landscape of New Zealand's South Island.
Rounding out the announced premieres is "Camp," which will launch Wednesday, July 10 at 10 p.m. Starring Rachel Griffiths ("Brothers & Sisters") as a divorced camp director looking for a fresh stars, the series explores the campers and counselors at Little Otter Family Camp, where summer memories are made.
These join the previously announced summer mainstay "America's Got Talent," which will begin its run on the Peacock on June 4 at 9 p.m.
