Next James Bond film gets a title: 'Skyfall'; Plus, 007 joins Twitter

daniel-craig-bond.jpg Daniel Craig's next James Bond installment now has a proper title: "Skyfall," as predicted. And, according to 007's brand new Twitter account, the movie plot is this: "Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost." (And, yes, James had to break that into two separate tweets.)

That's right -- the man with a license to kill also now has official Twitter and Facebook accounts. Thus far, the MI6 agent has filled up his Twitter feed with details about the upcoming movie -- so meta. But, since he is a secret agent, he is privy to information that mere journalists would have to, like, Google to discover. F'rinstance, James tweets that the press conference announcing the film's title "takes place on the same date that Sean Connery was announced as the first James Bond."

After that, though, he devolves into the mundane -- rattling off the names of "Skyfall's" high-wattage cast: Dame Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney. Obviously some kind of subtrefuge to lull his 3,938 followers into a feeling of security.

If it really is Bond. For all we know it's SPECTRE mastermind Ernst Salvo Blofeld, again rearing his bald pate to thwart Bond.

Color us intrigued.

"Skyfall" is scheduled to land in theaters in November 2012.
