Nicki Minaj doesn't want kids singing her explicit song lyrics

nicki-minaj-dirty-song-lyrics.jpgSinger Nicki Minaj doesn't want your kids to sing along to her music. At least the "dirty versions." "I don't want children cursing," she says. "I'm very strict on my nieces and my little brother. They have to listen to clean versions of music."

Minaj spoke to The Guardian about her lyrics, which tend to be rather explicit. "If you asked any adult, 'Would you like your children knowing every part of your life and speaking exactly the way you speak when you talk to adults?' they'd say no, so I'm a firm believer in children remaining children." Her solution? A cleaner version of her songs for children.

That said, she doesn't understand why people seem to get angry at her for using bad words. "Why do people ask me to lose swear words? Do people ask Eminem to lose swear words? Do they ask Lil Wayne to lose swear words? Nobody stops them and says 'Would you stop swearing swearing... for the children, please?'"

Weigh in here. Is a clean version of a dirty song just for kids the way to go? Are they just going to hear the dirty version anyway? Let us know your thoughts.
