'Nine Lives of Chloe King' Season 2: What would've happened to Brian

nine-lives-of-chloe-king-grey-chloe.jpgABC Family may have canceled "Nine Lives of Chloe King" after its all-too-brief first season, but we're still looking out for you! We jumped on the phone with star Grey Damon to chat about his debut on "The Secret Circle," but we couldn't resist grilling him for an update on the Season 2 that never happened.

As the fans know, Chloe (Skyler Samuels) and Brian (Damon) were members of different species -- and though they fell in love, they were unable to actually touch, because he'd die. They weren't able to keep their hands to themselves, though, and the doomed couple kissed in the finale, prompting fans to worry that Brian was killed off.

"Well, I guess since the show's over, I can tell you," he laughs. "I was definitely going to be a part of Season 2, whether that was in reality or in some kind of spiritual realm."

So how were the writers planning to save Brian? Damon spoke with producers about a potential Season 2 before it was axed.

"The idea that they were moving toward was that I was going to be in a coma after the kiss. They were going to play it so that because Chloe and Ben were really in true love, it somehow broke the spell, it was the exception to the rule," Damon says, admitting to some major disappointment when the show wasn't picked up. "I was really looking forward to exploring it, but that's the way the cookie crumbles."

Now, "Nine Lives of Chloe King" fans can check out Damon on The CW's "The Secret Circle," beginning tonight (Jan. 5) at 9 p.m. He plays Lee LaBeque, a sketchy guy making a buck off of magic he doesn't completely understand. Lee couldn't be more different from Brian. "I'd just come off a show where I played a really nice, really good guy, which was fun for a while, but I mostly play darker characters, so I was excited to get back to that and to play someone with some mystery to him," he tells us. "We don't really know what Lee's angle is when we first meet him. We don't know where he comes from, so I really looked forward to exploring his background a bit."
