Octo-mom Nadya Suleman's doctor gets license revoked

nadya-suleman-gi.jpgMichael Kamrava, the man who implanted Octo-mom Nadya Suleman with multiple embryos, resulting in 14 total children -- eight famously born at once -- has lost his license to practice medicine in California.

In 2010, Kamrava admitted to implanting 12 embryos into Suleman prior to her giving birth to octuplets. That is, according to the Daily Mail, six times the norm for a woman her age. Suleman was 34 when she became pregnant.

Kamrava was accused of being "grossly negligent" with Suleman and in the treatment of two other patients -- one a 42-year-old woman who was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer after receiving fertility treatments and a 48-year-old who suffered serious complications while pregnant with quadruplets.

In making its decision, the state medical board said it was making a move to "protect the public."
